The representatives of Japan, South Korea and the United States have discussed ways of cooperation in the direction of imposing sanctions against North Korea in connection with North Korea's test launches of missiles, - is said in statement of Japanese Foreign Ministry about the results of the meeting of foreign ministers of the three countries. Earlier it was reported that US Secretary of State John Kerry and the foreign ministers of Japan and South Korea Fumio Kishida and Yun Byung-Se had planned to hold a trilateral meeting on the scopes of UN General Assembly.

Seventeen Indian soldiers were killed on Sunday evening in Kashmir (nearby the military base in Uri) with more injured and severely wounded. The Indian state has instantly accused Pakistan for involvement in the attack. It is believed that the attackers were from the Jaish-e-Mohammed militant group, allegedly connected to parts of Pakistani government. Pressured by members of his own party, Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is preparing for a strong response against the terrorists. Islamabad rejects, however, Indian allegations and states that it has been common practice of the Indian government in the past few years to put forwards accusations against Pakistan without having conducted an investigation.

From Monday 19 to Friday 23 September, The International Court of Justice will hold public hearings concerning the case Somalia v. Kenya, about the Maritime Delimitation in the Indian Ocean. As specified by the Court, 'The hearings will concern solely the preliminary objections raised by Kenya". A narrow triangle In the Indian Ocean is at the heart of the problem. This 100,000 square kilometers territory (62,000 square miles) has potential reserves of oil and gas. The case started in 2014 when Somalia firstly sued Kenya, and the parties met several times. 

Today the election to the State Duma, the lower house of parliament, takes place in Russia. 14 parties participate in these elections, twice more than in 2011. The voting started at 8AM and will last up to 8PM local time. 111.6 million citizens are entitled to vote. This year's elections are dominated by president Vladimir Putin's supporters. In the elections to the Russian parliament, 450 deputies will be elected and their term will last five years. The mixed electoral system has been used for that elections. 225 deputies will be chosen from party lists and the other half from single-mandate constituencies. 

The ruling coalition of Social Democrats and the Christian Democratic Union lost the majority in the parliament of Berlin. The leader of CDU party Chancellor Angela Merkel showed the worst result in the history, reports Deutsche Welle. CDU has 39 seats now in Berlin's parliament. SPD in the previous election won 46 seats and they both with CDU will be able to make a coalition that will make key decisions. According to prior data, in the current elections, SPD won by 21.6 percent. CDU supporters were not that active and that's why they got just 17.6 percent.

On Saturday, tens of thousands of people gathered to protest against EU-USA and EU-Canada trade agreements in seven cities across Germany. The Czech Pirate Party organized the similar protest in Prague, although the event was of limited size (approximately two dozen participants). The dialogue on the economic cooperation between the EU and the USA started as early as in the 1990s. In 2013, the negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) were revived. In the case of realization, this partnership will create the biggest free trade market in the world. Nowadays, the negotiation process takes a new stage and that provokes a new wave of protests.
