At the city council meeting in Ashgabat, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a law approving the new constitution of the country. "The adoption of the new Constitution of Turkmenistan marks a new stage of socio - economic and spiritual development of the country. Turkmenistan's new constitution is designed to meet the international legislative experience on the basis of recognized norms of international law", - said the president. According to the new fundamental law of Turkmenistan, presidential term of power increased from five to seven years.
