On Sunday in Croatia's parliamentary elections were held. The winner is Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), conservative party which has got a slight advantage and 61 seats. Second place in Parliament and 54 seats won Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP). In third place was the center-right party Most (Bridge). It gained 13 seats. HDZ leader Andrej Plenković emphasizes that his party wants to create a stable self-government.

When the final results will confirm the estimates, the HDZ would not be able to govern alone with such a quantity obtained mandates. It will need to create a coalition. The previous government in Croatia lasted only six months.

The second elections in a year are fueling political uncertainty and instability in the country. Elections were held as a result of the June vote of no confidence, which has been expressed to the Prime Minister Tihomir Oreszković.
