Law and Justice won in parliamentary elections in Poland, held on 25 October 2015, with an anticipated 37,7% of the vote. Civic Platform came second with 23,6% of the vote. Three other parties are projected to win enough votes to get seats in parliament: Kukiz’15 (8,7%), Modern Poland (7,7%) and the Polish People's Party (5,2%). This unofficial results mean that Law and Justice would get 232 seats in parlament and could govern alone. Civic Platform is expected to receive 137 seats, Kukiz’15 – 42, Modern Poland – 30, and the Polish People's Party – 18.

The V4 countries have expressed their strong disapproval for the refugee quota plan suggested by the European Commission and received a lot of criticism from the old member states. But what really happened that the old EU member states are trying to chaotically solve the migration crisis through the bureaucratic quota system which creates an artificial burden for the new member states, which are not the final destination for the migrants? - writes Prof. Krystyna Iglicka-Okólska, CIR's expert, in comment "A mere stop to the West.
