Days of population bonus are over. Without privatisation, liberalisation and distributive reforms, and those coming soon, China will be in trouble. Today Japan wants to focus on the improvement in Sino-Japanese relations and on protecting a rule-based order - said prof. Akio Takahara during the expert debate organised by the CIR and the Center for Europe of Warsaw University.

CETA wil bring significant benefits not only to the corporations, big companies or selected sectors of the economy. CETA will in fact benefit to all – said Stephen de Boer, the Ambassador of Canada to Poland, during an information session “CETA in practice” organized on the 26th of January by THINKTANK, European Commission Representation in Poland, Ministry of Economic Development and Embassy of Canada in Warsaw.

We share a common history, values and the same objectives. Doing business with Europe is a natural step for Canada – said Daniel Costello, Ambassador of Canada to the EU and former Ambassador of Canada to Poland, during a study visit of the Polish group. I’m not an economist, but the purpose of the agreement is clear: we want to create stable business conditions, find new trade partners and thus create new jobs - he added. Study visit concerning the CETA agreement was organised by the Delegation of the European Commission in Poland for Polish entrepreneurs, scientists and foreign trade experts. Marcin Rau, the CIR’s analyst participated in the meeting.
