Economic and financial stability in Europe is a common good, which becomes fragile nowadays. European societies blame political elites for this uncertainty. "More Europe" doesn't work anymore, but perhaps "Better Europe" will - if we take advantage of the present crisis to fix what is not working properly - said dr Małgorzata Bonikowska, president of the Centre for International Relations, at a Warsaw Security Forum panel “New post-crisis approaches on how to improve financial stability and economic security in Europe”. Amongst noble speakers there were: Marek Belka, f. Prime Minister of Poland, Ralf Jansen, General Counsel, Member of the Management Board, European Stability Mechanism and Michał Krupiński, President of the Board, PZU. The debate was moderated by dr Paweł Wojciechowski, f. Polish Minister of Finance.

 

The Warsaw Security Forum is one of the most important conferences concerning global security issues in Central Europe. The Forum addresses these issues through an international gathering of experts who specialize in security. Its purpose is to exchange professional experiences as well as to present solutions to complex regional security challenges confronting the Central and Eastern European region.

Dr Malgorzata Bonikowska was also a moderator of the panel: “Next session- Pro-Kremlin disinformation: are we doing enough? ”. The speakers of the discussion were: Margo Gontar – Co-founder and Editor,StopFake.org, Ukraine, Jakub Kalensky – East StratCom Task Force Member, European Union External Action Service, Robert Pszczel – Acting Director, NATO Information Office in Moscow, Ivana Smolenova – Communications and Outreach Manager, Prague Security Studies Institute, Czech Republic and Brian Whitmore – Senior Russia Analyst, Radio Free Europe, Czech Republic.
