The seminar focused on the assessment of recent talks on Iran's nuclear program and its implications for the region of the Persian Gulf. Prospects for economic cooperation with Iran as well as perspectives for the Persion Gulf towards the Islamic state and their political stability and economic development opportunities were also discussed. The meeting was organized by the Centre for International Relations, the European Council on Foreign Relations and the Polish Institute of Diplomacy. Polish and British international situation analysts, diplomats, journalists, lecturers and representatives of research centers attended the seminar.

Among the speakers were: Ellie Geranmayeh and Andrew Hammond of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), Piotr Kozłowski from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and dr Patrycja Sasnal of the Polish Institute of International Affairs. dr Małgorzata Bonikowska, president of the Centre for International Relations and Piotr Buras, director of the Polish ECFR office were the moderators of the meeting.
