In the first decade, the CIR was implementing projects concentrated first of all on issues connected with

1. the European integration and the Poland’s membership in the EU,
2. bilateral relations Poland-Germany, Poland-Russia and Poland-US,
3. challenges resulting from the world migrations
4. the important changes in the global international relations after the collapse of the Soviet Union and end of the “cold war”.
