WikiLeaks was blocked 20th of July by the Turkish telecommunication authorities (TIB). Turkish authorities told that it was “administrative measure”. Around 300,000 emails of AKP ((Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi)  Justice and Development Party) were released by the WikiLeaks after the coup attempt in Turkey. Emails came from the akparti.org.tr – main domain of AKP. Emails are ranging from 2010 to 6th July 2016. As the source of the released documents mentioned, it is a revenge for the Erdogan’s purges after the coup attempt.

On July 20th, hundreds of persons demonstrated against the French military presence in Tripoli mostly. A few days before, Paris announced the death of three members of the French intelligence in a helicopter crash in Benghazi. The financial aid of over $2 billion is aiming to stabilize the situation in Iraq and to improve the humanitarian situation, especially in newly liberated from IS districts. The main group of recipients are the over than 3.3 million of internally displaced people. US are co-hosting the conference in Washington. The documents which AP has released recently once again brought back the feelings of the days in which western countries were talking about the danger of Iran’s nuclear program. According to this documents Iran will start to enrich uranium before the 15-year accord expires. The document shows that there was an add-on agreement to the nuclear deal which can increase Tehran’s ability to build a bomb even before the end of the pact and in less than six months. Iran’s foreign minister, Dr. Zarif, not only didn't refuse the report but also claims that the report is showing the power of Iranian negotiators and the strength of Iran’s nuclear program. The document is the only text linked to the last year’s Iran and six foreign powers which never has been made public. AP got the information from a diplomat who work on Iran’s nuclear program for more than a decade.

On 9th of July 2016 elections in Western Sahara took place. Elections were in Algerian territory in Sahrawi refugee camp. The new president of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) became Brahim Ghali. Ghali received 1766 from 1895 votes. Ghali was the founder of the Polisario movement in SADR, firstly it was a movement against Spain, after - against Morocco. In his first speech on the presidential post, he represented the program and the plan of actions. He insisted, that people are looking for a peaceful resolution of conflict, but all the time are ready to begin a resistance to the Moroccan regime.

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has apologised over the downing of a Russian jet last year. “President Putin has received a letter from Turkish President Erdogan where the Turkish leader expresses interest in resolving the situation around the downing of a Russian bomber jet,” Peskov said. Last November, Turkish jets shot down a Russian bomber that Ankara said had crossed over from Syria, although Russia denied its plane had entered Turkish airspace. One of the crew member was killed by ground fire after parachuting out, and a Russian marine was killed in the rescue mission.

On Saturday, after weeks of fighting in the outskirts of the city, Iraqi special forces took control of the central hospital in Fallujah and were clearing mines after driving the Islamic State group away, which was one of its last remaining strongholds in the west of Baghdad, according to army officials. Violent fighting took place in several parts of the city, where U.S. and Iraqi warplanes targeted several IS strategic positions. Militaries had slowly and cautiously progressed towards the hospital, out of  fear that the IS militants would use patients as hostages. However, when they entered the facility, it was empty of patients. The Iraqi flag has now been raised over the building.The Iraqi troops now have control of the Dubbat neighborhood and are trying to get into the northern area of Golan as well as other smaller areas.

Sovereign wealth fund Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has purchased a 43-floor office building in Singapore from American private company “BlackRock” for $2.45bn. According to BlackRock, Currently, this is the largest single tower realty deal in the Asia-Pacific region, moreover, it is the second largest deal globally. Initially, BlackRock put the tower up for sale with a price of about $2.9bn, which is more than transaction price at $450m. , but a year after the transaction was  closed at $2.45bn. The office tower is located in Singapore’s Marina Bay business and financial district and bears the branding of its permanent lessee Citibank.

Saudi Arabia plans to implement an income tax on foreign residents.  Ibrahim al-Assaf, the finance minister of Saudi Arabia commented that “the cash-strapped kingdom seeks to raise non-oil revenues and cut spending to fund its $72bn plan to diversify the economy”. Riyadh (the capital of Saudi Arabia), seek for funds needed for wide-ranging reforms starting from fiscal and investment policy to education and housing initiatives. The announcement of the municipal elections results in the north zone ended the election season, which lasted almost an entire month. The Beirutis’ List, supported by former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, has dominated the capitale’s elections despite a strong opposition by Beirut Madinati, according to the official final results showed on Tuesday.  As for the North of the country, an underdog list backed by emerging Sunni politician Ashraf Rifi won a majority of seats on the council elected in Tripoli, Lebanon’s second largest city, against a coalition of former prime ministers, billionaires and Islamists. This election involved alliances, results, and repercussions on the political stage. It has marked a blow for the lebanese establishment, in particular the long in power Sunni leaders in the northern part. It might revive tensions between rival sectarian groups. Early results indicated that none of the 24 seats on the council were won by members of the Christian or Alawite communities which were both represented in the outgoing council.
