Montenegro Parliamentary elections were held on 16th of October, 2016. The night before twenty Serbs were detained on a charge of terrorist activity according to the coup d’état attempt. DPA agency informed that also on the territory of a neighboring Serbia several arrests took place.On Sunday, the Montenegrin Chief Special Prosecutor for organized crime and corruption Milivoje Katnić said that during the election day armed Serbian citizens made an attempt to overthrow the government of Montenegro. The Serbian group was organized and led by the Russian Nationalists. "We have evidence that two nationalists from Russia were organisers," Mr Katnić said.

In a vote of confidence, a simple majority of MEPs voted in favor of the 61-year-old in Madrid and freed the way for a minority government of his conservative People's Party. 170 deputies voted in favor of Rajoy and 111 against him. There were 68 abstentions. Rajoy's election had become possible because the opposition Socialists had urged their deputies to abstain from the voting.

Now, the Belgian parliaments reached an agreement and this agreement is now being sent to the European Union and the various parliaments in Belgium. If they agree, the road to signing the CETA agreement at EU level will be free.

Belgium's Prime Minister, Charles Michel, has failed at removing reservations against CETA at a meeting with leading regional politicians and Belgium can only sign the EU free trade agreement with the consent of all regions.
