EU President Martin Schulz spoke of a good day for the European Union and Canada and said that CETA would be a standard for all future agreements. Also, Donald Tusk commented that he is proud to sign the two landmark agreements with Canada.

Sectors such as car companies and the textile industry will largely benefit.
