Due to the old airway system, Iran is one of the countries with most fatal airline accident since 1979. One of the nuclear deal’s fruits for Iran was signing the agreement with two major Aircraft companies, Airbus and the Boing. The first deal has signed with the French company, Airbus, during President Ruhanis visit to France. The value of the agreement was around $25bn and Airbus sold 118 of its recent models to Iran. After Airbus, its American competitor, Boeing started to open negotiations with Iranian officials. By receiving the green light from the White House, Boing has signed a $27bn deal with Iran, to sell 100 aircraft.

Since the begging of this process, positions in both countries has increased. Iranian radicals who were against the nuclear deal started to attack to its fruit as well by criticizing Ruhanis decision. they argued that buying new air crafts is not the country’s top priorities. In a recent reaction, Ayatollah Khamenei, The supreme leader of Iran, said that he is skeptical if recent purchases are vital and if they can fulfill the country’s needs. Iranian oppositions are arguing that the government can invest this amount of money in better place to create job and decrease unemployment which is around 18% nowadays. In the other hand Iranian president, Ruhani, always says that Iranian people do not deserve to use an old airway system and put their life in danger. Also, supporters of the deal argue that by having a modern airway system Iran can compete with other countries in the region, such as UAE and Turkey, which dominated the trust route of the West and the East.

In the other side of the ocean, the situation is not any better. In the recent activity, Republican members of the U.S senate passed a law which in the case of legalization can tie the Boeing’s hands to sell its aircraft to Iran. They are accusing Iran of exchanging soldiers and military equipment to its areas of interest, such as Syria and Yemen, by using the passenger aircraft. As the counter argument, the Boeing is saying that if the U.S has signed an agreement with Iran, American companies also should benefit from it. The Boeing which has Obama administration's support is trying to keep its deal with Iran and don't let its french competitor dominating Iranian airway market.

Iranian airway system is going to be retired in one or two years, according to the experts. If political challenges let Iranian government accomplishing what had has started, in future Iran can be one the biggest owners of modern aircraft in the region. It can affect Iranian tourism industry and bring a lot of money every year to Iranian airway Industry.
