Donald Trump rejected criticism from the father of a soldier killed in Iraq who said the Republican presidential nominee had "sacrificed nothing and no one" and questioned whether the mother was allowed to speak during the couple's appearance at the Democratic convention. Khizr Khan, a U.S. citizen of Pakistani origin and a Muslim, won widespread praise when he spoke Thursday at the Democratic National Convention, telling the story of his son, U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan, who was killed by a bomb in Iraq in 2004.
He also criticized Trump for proposing a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States and asked if the candidate had read the U.S. Constitution and offered his one to lend him to read.
Trump was brief: "I’d like to hear his wife say something." pointing to gender struggle among Muslims community and violation of human rights. "I think I've made a lot of sacrifices," Trump said. "I've worked very, very hard. I've created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, (...) I raised and I have raised millions of dollars for the vets," he added. However, this information has no proper proof.
U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan, responding to remarks by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, said on Sunday said Muslim fallen Army Captain made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. "His sacrifice - and that of Khizr and Ghazala Khan - should always be honored.” He said in a statement.
Hillary Clinton reacts with a question “Where the bottom is?” mentioning all on Trump’s comments on Mr. Khan’s speech and other his skeptical statements.
