The presidential election in Estonia did not result in the electing president after voting held on Monday on 29th of August. In Estonia President is elected by 101 seat Parliament (Riigikogu). To win the candidate must get at least 68 votes. During the first voting round, Eiki Nestor from Social Democratic Party received 40 votes. Two other candidates Mailis Reps from Centre Party - 26 votes and AllarJoks from IRL party - 25 votes. Second voting round is going to be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday. Last round conducted by 335 people council consisting as well provincial heads of state will take place on the same day at 4 p.m. The winner is going to replace current President of Estonia Thomas Hendrik Ilves who is going to resign in October after his second term.
