Hong Kong was ranked 1st in the Index of Economic Freedom 2018, which was prepared by the US-based Heritage Foundation. Its overall score has increased by 0.4 point, with improvements in government integrity, business freedom, and monetary freedom offsetting a decline in the score for the property rights indicator. Hong Kong’s economy was rated as the world’s freest for the 24th year in a row. Same as last year, Poland was ranked 45th.
