With a PhD and MSc in International Political Economy and International Relations from the London School of Economics, she specialises in international economics, development, transition, regulation and economic diplomacy. Previously, she lectured at the LSE and worked in media in London. She consulted on economic policy to Polish government ministries, think tanks and business and wrote various policy papers. She has wide-ranging experience in European affairs and worked in Brussels at the European Commission, Parliament and private sector. At the Jagiellonian University and other universities, she lectures on diverse subjects and coordinates academic programmes in public policy and economics. She is currently organising a grant and conference sponsored by the Visegrad Fund on the middle income country trap. At the Center for International Relations, she created the analytical basis for new comparative economy work on Central Europe. While being in charge of the programme, she published such strategic papers as Chinese Investment and Business Ethics in Poland and CEE. She holds a BA in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Texas, Austin and complements her academic interests teaching Yoga.
